Feedback on: Multimedia Protector - Service Pack 3.0.1Service_Pack_301Part I - Learning the Basics > Latest Updates > Service Pack 3.0.1 /Dear Support Staff,
The highlight of this update is a new video player. It allows protection of almost all kind of video and audio formats and a file size up to 1GB per video. The videos are even protected against screen capture.
A new evaluation option was added to limit the evaluation time to x minutes (e.g. 60 minutes). A warning message can be displayed a few minutes before the evaluation time ends
•
New copy protection option: Domain - to allow a company license for single user installations
•
The activation dialogue is now visible with the icon in the task bar and is no longer hidden
•
Bug Fix: The splash screen was sometimes visible even after the main product started
•
The Info button in the License Viewer is no longer visible. This hides the information that your product is protected by Multimedia Protector
One major update feature of this release for PDF files is the option to create a single protected file for each PDF file. For each single PDF file a MMF file with the same name is created. A menu is not necessary as the user can just click on the protected PDF file for view the file
•
In the title bar of the Multimedia Protector PDF Viewer the original PDF name is displayed instead of the project name
•
A lot of details to view and browse a PDF file have been changed
In case printing is not allowed to file printers:
•
more printers have been added (Paperport and Microsoft Office Live Meeting Document writer)
•
the orientation (portrait / landscape) can be selected
Virtual Zone - EXE protection
•
New option: Only protect EXE file - do not use licensing. This option is needed if you want to protect an EXE file against decompiling but use no licensing (e.g. another tool like Licence Protector handles the licensing part)
•
New option: Advanced Protection - in case the Multimedia Player is modified by a hacker, the protected application will not load
•
New option: Compatibility Mode - in case the EXE file does not start, use this option
Installation Manager
•
The name of the MMF file and the name of the EXE file can now be different
