About Web Activation

The Web Activation and Registration module is an out of the box solution to activate a licence and to change licence information online. Licence Protector connects to the registration server and performs the following operations:

•	Activate copy protection

•	Change a licence, e.g. from demo mode to full version mode

•	Verify Serial Numbers and Activation Keys

The registration server ensures that each licence can be registered only once. Every transaction is logged to a database.

Optionally, keys can be transmitted to the activation server before they are applied to the licence file. It is checked, whether the key was already used or not. This is to ensure that the key can not be passed on and used multiple times.

It is possible to define different workflows on the Web Activation Server - e.g. do not activate copy protection or make a time limited version after activation.
