The default option detects uninstallation / reinstallation of the product during the evaluation period and prevents that the evaluation period is prolonged.

 

Advanced Protection against Reinstallation (Tamper Detection) is a very restrictive method and does not allow to even restore a backup. This option should only be used if you expect that the target group of the application will seriously try to violate the license agreement. If a customer restores a backup or reinstalls the application, he needs a key to reset Tamper Detection.
