Multimedia Protector PDF Viewer needs to install a Viewer component. This is automatically done when the user starts the Multimedia Protector PDF Viewer the first time. To install this component, no administration rights are needed. The next program start detects, that the Viewer component is already installed and directly displays the PDF document.

 

There are 4 other ways to install the component:

 

•Start the  Multimedia Player  with the parameter -ipdf silent. This would always install the Viewer component but would not start Multimedia Protector PDF Viewer. This switch can be used to install the Viewer component with an own installer or if you want to distribute the Multimedia Protector PDF Viewer within the company

•Use the Installation Manager and set InstallPDFViewer = true

•Start the  Multimedia Player  with the parameter -ipdf on. This would always install the Viewer component and then start Multimedia Protector PDF Viewer. The switch can be used if the auto installation fails

•Start the  Multimedia Player  with the parameter -ipdf off. This would start the Multimedia Protector PDF Viewer and never install the Viewer component. The switch can be used if the auto installation fails and disables the installation of the Viewer component
