Serial Number Key

After buying the product, a Serial Number is sent to the customer. It is the 'proof of purchase' and it is unique. To get a better idea of the workflow see Basics about Workflow.

The key used as a serial number just sets the status of the Activation to required. You could modify additional settings with the same key:

•	Days: add number of days which the version can be used after the Serial Number key is applied. The days are added to the days left from the trial version.

•	Expiry date: Sets an expiry date after the Serial Number key is used. Normally you would not use this option because a fix date has to be specified

If you allow E-Mail, Fax or Phone activation then 3 to 5 days should be added to cover the time between sending the registration info and sending back the unlock key.
