Product: DoneEx - http://doneex.com - compiles Excel file to EXE file

 

At first glance it looks like it is a competitive product but DoneEx and Multimedia Protector complement each other.  Multimedia Protector adds important features to DoneEx.

 

DoneEx covers the Excel Protection like hiding of formulas, prevent saving of the project or protects VB-script code. What it does not cover is:

 

•Trial version with limitation by number of program starts

•Product activation - automated with online or e-mail activation, manual with activation by fax or phone

•Delivery on USB-sticks

•Network license per PC, user or concurrent user

•Decompile protection

•Activation dialogues in multiple languages

 

These features can be added with Multimedia Protector.

 

Step 1 - Create EXE file

Create an EXE file from your Excel file using DoneEx

 

Step 2 - Import files in Multimedia Protector

Now import the EXE file from the project folder and mark the EXE file as start file using the button Define as starting file. A red icon signals the start file.

 

Step 3 - Options

The protection with Virtual Zone is not working with DoneEx - Select: Run EXE file on temporary folder

 

Special considerations

 

Some functions may not be possible like saving. This would modify the EXE file. Multimedia Protector does not allow to modify a protected file.
