The Multimedia Protector installer adds a program manager group called Multimedia Protector 3.0.
Multimedia Protector requires a read/write access to the installation folder (default ..\programs\Multimedia Protector 3.0). The Windows Vista / Win 7 standard user does not have this authorization. Multimedia Protector adds it during installation.
The same applies to the distribution of the Multimedia Player which runs on the user system.
If your secured application is stored on a network, the administrator has to add read/write access for all users.
If you use a CD installation, the Multimedia Player will add the necessary authorization automatically during program start.
Multimedia Protector and Multimedia Player run on Windows XP SP2 to Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit) and always need the latest service packs.
A user does not need to have a flash or another player like PPT or PDF reader installed. All necessary components are included in the Multimedia Player.
If you protect flash, PPT or EXE applications, no installation will be required and the protected application can be started even directly from CD.
The Multimedia Protector PDF Viewer is installed during the first program start but no administrator rights are required.
