Display Modification History version 3.0
First check, if you have a valid update subscription to update from any prior version to version 3.0.
If you are using a trial version, you can use the download link you got with an e-mail, to download the latest version again.
Use the automatic update check to ensure that you are always working with the latest version.
You will find your current version number in the screen administration, AB Misc, using the About Multimedia Protector link. Note: Updates can only be applied if your update subscription has not expired. You find your subscription status in the screen administration, TAB Misc, using the Show License Information link. The module Update Subscription must not be expired. The Update program uses not today's date to make the comparison but the inbuilt release program. Example for Update 3.0 •Release date 11/24/2009: (24.11.2009) •Update Subscription due date for version 3.0: 10/01/2009 (01.10.2009) - note: this date could be before the release date to allow customers, who but the product during the beta phase, to install the update for free •Update subscription expired: 10/15/2009 (15.10.2009) •Today: 12/10/2009 (10.12.2009) Although today the Update eligibility has expired, it was not expired at the update subscription due date. The update can be applied. This ensures that you can install an update at any time you like. |
If your subscription has expired but you bought a subscription, check your order confirmation e-mail. You got a separate Activation Key for the update subscription. Apply this key in your currently installed Multimedia Protector version. If you cannot find your order confirmation e-mail, contact cs@cleverbridge.com.
Download Update
The latest update can be downloaded here or selectCheck for updates within the program manager group, Multimedia Protector
•Make a backup of version 2.x. The version is installed by default on ..program files\Multimedia Protector\2.1
•In case you used the BETA version 3.0, uninstall it before you install the update (control panel, add or remove software). Only if you don't have version 2.x installed, don't uninstall Beta version as the update program needs a valid license
•Download the update from the website or through the automatic updater
•Start the file mpupdate30.exe
•You have to select the folder with the old Multimedia Protector version (default ..program files\Multimedia Protector\2.1). This folder is needed to check the update eligibility. After this initial check you can install Multimedia Protector
•We strongly recommend installing the version on a new directory (default is ..\3.0) and never install it on the directory with the old version
